About Us

We are a  South Indian multicultural Pentecostal Church in Bradford West Yorkshire and is a family of believers committed to growing deeper in knowledge of the Bible, mature Spiritually, and become equipped to disciple.

Our loving and homely atmosphere and hospitality of our believers makes our fellowship an unique extended family, bonded together in the eternal love of Jesus Christ.

As spreading the news of gospel has been our main aim we initially started our ministry in a small group about 7 years ago of not more than four members which currently grown up to more than 40 Sunday worshippers consists of Tamil, Singhalese, Malayalam and Telugu speaking believers from various parts of west Yorkshire like, Leeds, Shipley, Keighley, Wakefield, Bradford.
We conduct many special meetings and healing services by inviting many Holy Spirit filled preachers and evangelists and it has helped many members to over come many difficulties, troubles, depression, bad habits etc. Young and old feel at ease and at home in this congregation. Many people came to know Jesus and accepted Him as their personal Saviour and Lord through this fellowship. Almighty God has been providing us with the opportunities and means to help many needy people around the world.
The service is held mostly in Tamil with Translation in English. Songs are also sung in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Faith, Family and Friendship – it’s what EGN ministries is all about. Whether you are just visiting West Yorkshire, United Kingdom or looking for a church to attend on a regular basis, you are most welcome to join the friendly people and worship with us at Elijah Good News’ fellowship. What to Expect in EGN MINISTRIES Church

Our Pastors

Pastor.Suthakaran Subramanian and Pastor.Sheeba Suthakaran founded the church in 2010. They are committed to teaching and preaching unadulterated truth from the Scriptures and to lead the Church in prayers and worship to strengthen the faith of our members. In addition, his vision also includes reaching the unreached people with the gospel of Christ and the growth of the church resulting in the expansion of His Kingdom.
The Lord placed a desire in the heart of Pastor Suthakaran & Sis.Sheeba to share the love of Jesus Christ with the Indian and Sri Lankan communities living in and around west Yorkshire. 2008 was the fulfilment of that vision and an answer to a ceaseless prayer. What began as a small fellowship with just a handful of people has now become a thriving congregation.

Our Mission

EGN MINISTRIES believes that God has called us to share the love of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to enlarge the Kingdom of God by ultimately following Christ’s command:

Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
Matthew 28:18-19

Our mission is to take the un-compromised Gospel message of our Saviour’s sacrifice, hope and salvation through that sacrifice to local community. We aspire to share the Gospel of Christ and win souls for our Lord, for “It is the will of our Lord that none should perish.

What We Believe

  • WE BELIEVE…The Scriptures are infallible, and Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
  • WE BELIEVE…There is only One True God-revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and in the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • WE BELIEVE…though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin-ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
  • WE BELIEVE…Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ (accepting Christ’s offer of forgiveness for sin).
  • WE BELIEVE…and practice two ordinances-(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
  • WE BELIEVE…the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost.
  • WE BELIEVE…Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
  • WE BELIEVE…The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
  • WE BELIEVE…A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers-the Church.
  • WE BELIEVE…Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins).
  • WE BELIEVE…in The Blessed Hope-When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.
  • WE BELIEVE…in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace. A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire. After which we look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. ‘And so, shall we forever be with the Lord!’
